Reading of the Testimonies

Please join us for an annual worldwide commemoration to mark the anniversary of the Rwandan genocide. Host a Reading of the Testimonies in a public space in your city to help raise awareness about the consequences of genocide and the ongoing challenges survivors face on a daily basis. Readings will be held in key cities around the world throughout April-July each year, to mark the 100 days of the Rwandan of the genocide.

The Reading of the Testimonies is a result of the many requests we received from individuals and organizations interested in staging commemoration events in cities around the world to stand in solidarity with survivors of the Rwandan genocide. The Reading of the Testimonies is an ongoing project of Survivors Fund (SURF) and Foundation Rwanda that launched at the United Nations in New York City on April 7, 2009 to mark the 15th anniversary of the genocide.
